Many wines are sourced from Rome and the surrounding Lazio region, and on Sundays they do a brunch pairing their organic wines with a small seasonal menu, with live DJs soundtracking the day. Expect soft, buttery mortadella on toast, flash-fried salted cod, paccheri pasta with beef and pork ragu, and an occasional smashburger that's as good as any you'll have in New York. "Informal pizza spot in front of Circo Massimo, great location, amazing area. Setting is minimal, industrial style. Pizza and beer counter with a couple of stools, few tables inside and outside. Very crowded, but the turnover is fast and the staff manages it well (they know what they are doing). The place is owned by the Trecca brothers, so it’s basically Pantera’s pizza al taglio and supplí, but with a more extensive menu (felt like the more polished, fancier version of Pantera - definitely there are many more tourists here than in Garbatella). Roman style - thin and crispy - great toppings (classic combinations + seasonal offerings). Definitely the only place worth going on this side of via dei Cerchi. FD: Rossa con erbetta; Crostino Prosciutto; Patae e Salsiccia; Puntarelle e alici. "
