Casa Mono : restaurant espagnol étoilé à New York

"Mapstr recommandation: Casa Mono is a Michelin-starred Spanish tapas restaurant near Union Square, offering an intimate space to enjoy creative dishes like razor clams and jamón ibérico. Chef Andy Nusser brings the flavors of Spain’s Costa Brava to life, complemented by a 600-strong Spanish wine list. Perfect for a cozy, authentic tapas experience."

@chloe.namour

"1 Star Michelin- Spanish restaurant Refined tapas, scrambled eggs with uni is a must, confit goat "

"The tapas are good, but not mesmerizing. Food was a bit weak. Way too overpriced. Pete Wells’ list of top 100 #21 "

"There’s something reassuring about a kitchen that gets in whole beasts and does its own butchery—you just know it understands the essence of what good cooking is all about. Here at the small but perfectly formed Casa Mono, dishes are none of those one-bite wonders that blight so many places these days. Nor do they arrive in a stampede at your table. Instead, they are sent out in a sensible order, for the benefit of the diner rather than the convenience of the kitchen. The cuisine is nominally influenced by the Costa Brava, but its reach is far greater than that and the tapas are especially refined. Scrambled eggs with uni is a must, while confit goat will make you question why you don’t see more of it on other menus. This is food to cure what ails you."

Piatto consigliato: Foie Gras with Cinco Cebollas; Stuffed Lamb Belly with Mojo Rojo, Burnt Onion Yogurt & Pumpkin Seeds. Dove: 52 Irving Place, 10003 New York Prezzo: $60-80 Voto: 7/10"

"Incredible Spanish restaurant With hil&E and Advance auto"

@arianegrdd

"The city has fake tapas, it has painstakingly accurate tapas, and then it has Andy Nusser’s tapas at Casa Mono. Of course the Spanish respect for octopus and salt cod and razor clams is carried on here. And this is still, almost 20 years in, a prime spot for lovers of offal to eat pigs’ ears and lambs’ tongues and fried sweetbreads on fennel salad “al mono.” And, with Bar Jamòn next door, with which it shares a list, there is no better place in town to explore Spanish wine, from pale old Riojas to fizzy copper-colored avant-garde juice. Yet Casa Mono takes wild liberties in the kitchen that can leave you dizzy and short of breath. In San Sebastián, they don’t pair blistered shishitos with the creamy, chile-powered Peruvian cheese sauce huacaína, but perhaps they should. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/dining/best-nyc-restaurants.html"

"Extremely interesting tapas. Duck to die for. Sea urchin was fab. Skip the pig ears scallops were very nice. Octopus had some nice flavors and we ate some with break. Goat was interesting but a low light. Still glad we ordered. Skirt steak was very good. Deserts are mature and complex. The torts is ginger spicy and very involved and amazing if you have the palate. Vanilla cream with bay leaves is more novelty (just dip BaU leaves and scrape the dough off). "
