"Galería OMR is a leading contemporary art gallery located in Mexico City’s Roma Norte neighborhood. Established in 1983 by Patricia Ortiz Monasterio and Jaime Riestra, OMR has played a pivotal role in promoting both emerging and established artists from Mexico and around the world. Over the past four decades, the gallery has presented more than 400 exhibitions across various media and genres, participating in international art fairs such as Art Basel and Zona MACO.   In 2015, OMR relocated to a renovated 1970s brutalist building at Córdoba 100, formerly the site of the record and book store Sala Margolín. The redesign, led by architects Mateo Riestra, José Arnaud-Bello, and Max von Werz, preserved the building’s original concrete structure while adapting it into a versatile exhibition space. The gallery’s minimalist interior, featuring high ceilings and natural light, provides an ideal setting for large-scale works, video installations, and site-specific pieces.    OMR represents a diverse roster of artists, including Mexican talents like Pia Camil and José Dávila, as well as international figures such as Claudia Comte and Candida Höfer. The gallery continues to be a dynamic force in Mexico City’s art scene, fostering cultural exchange and supporting innovative artistic practices."
