"The Mercat Villa Crespo space , of 2,700 square meters and three floors, “evolves to become aplace where multicultural experiences can be lived through food, but also through different activities that will take place on its three floors,” they say from the company. Not only with gastronomy, but also with content. In order to retain our audience, we interpreted that – in addition to the excellent gastronomic proposal we have – we had to provide them with content on a permanent basis,” says Marcelo Pirogovsky , one of the owners of Mercat. The evolution also comes hand in hand with an aesthetic renewal . Curated by Sergio Asato, organizer of GastroJapo, the first floor of Mercat Villa Crespo emulates a Japanese alley . There are Harajuku by Asato San , with katsu sando, gyu sando, tori sando and nasubi accompanied by tonkatsu sauce, Sergio's mother's recipe (prepared with soy, pears and apples). “We insist on communities and the intersection of cultures, and we thought it would be fun to simulate the first floor as a Japanese alley . And it was what we believed we could achieve greater fidelity in terms of what the cultural part was and what the content part was, basically,” adds Pirogovsky . Plus, Gangnam Express adds in with Asian treats; nikuman, bento box, pastries, desserts and matcha-based drinks with the specialists at Amo mi Matcha ; and Puppo and its gastronomic proposal of Korean street food, with the famous hattogu at the helm. Also La Fábrica de Nerds with customized 3D pop culture merchandising from series, movies, comics, manga and anime that can range from a simple keychain to full-scale props; Keki Coffe & Manga , where you can have breakfast or a snack while reading a manga, or taste personalized beers accompanied by various Japanese cuisine options and a comic magazine; and Sculpture Mask and traditional Japanese and handmade anime masks, made of wood pulp. “On the last level, Uni Soju Bar , the first soju bar in Argentina, adds Korean cuisine from Gwiyomi . And with Almíbar , the new bar managed by Marcelo Osorio, someone who has a lot of experience in the field, we aspire to achieve the nightlife that we have been looking for for a long time,” says the executive."
