"Michelin Guide mention 2025 (new) After scrappy beginnings as a mobile kitchen, Chef/owners Stéphane Saint Louis and Steven Vargas transformed this cozy ten-table spot into the toast of downtown Petaluma. Warmly approachable service provides a pleasing backdrop to a seasonally inflected tasting menu (offered as either four or seven courses) comprised of elegant Californian cooking with classic French flourishes. A prime example might be found in a beautifully flaky pithivier filled with squab and kohlrabi, matched with buttery Robuchon-style potatoes. Desserts, too, show off a thoughtful combination of technique and flavor, as in a dressed up chestnut Mont Blanc with almond sable and blackberry sorbet."

"Top 100 A good way to die would be drowning in one of the sauces at Table Culture Provisions. Stéphane Saint Louis, who runs the kitchen together with Steven Vargas, grew up in Haiti and cooked at restaurants throughout the Bay Area, but the culinary penny didn’t drop until he enrolled at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Paris. That classic French technique is on full display in the sauces at TCP, as Petaluma locals call it, but despite its fine dining cred, the restaurant is far from stuffy. Diners croon along to smooth jazz in the intimate dining room, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays 4-6 p.m., Saint Louis and Vargas offer à la carte options for those who might not want to commit to a full tasting menu. Michelin List - This cheerful restaurant has become a “local brunch favorite” thanks to its California take on American classics. Enjoy innovative mixes like potato pancakes with Korean-braised kimchi, or avocado toast mixed with radishes and local seaweed. Dinner, served three nights a week, boasts haute cuisine dishes like duck egg raviolo with crispy garlic and brown butter, or grilled swordfish steak with romesco and Meyer lemon."
