"Fancy Korean fried chicken 🥂"

"Michelin - bib gourmand : It can be difficult to snag a table at this buzzy Korean fried chicken restaurant, but the effort is rewarded with a polished, high-energy experience. While there are a few à la carte options, the signature move is the “bucket” feast, which begins with a cup of chicken consommé and unfolds over multiple rounds of gluten-free fried chicken served with house sauces, crisp banchan and cold perilla seed noodles, before finishing with frozen-yogurt soft serve. It’s indulgent yet surprisingly clean-eating, never greasy or heavy. Champagne plays a starring role on the drinks list, with a broad range of bottles and by-the-glass pours. Stick to the bucket for solid value, though optional splurges like caviar-topped bites can push the bill higher."

"This offshoot of luxury streak restaurant Cote has at its heart a very good deal: a bucket of chicken, served with a cup of chicken consomme, pickled vegetables, scallion salad, a selection of sauces, cold noodles, and a soft-serve frozen yogurt sundae. Chicken comes in two styles, one with a choice of glazes, and the entire feast is $42."

"Very good chicken. It was very light and juicy. Not as spiced/seasoned as a kfc, but pretty sure that's because it's supposed to be with sauce. The pre-sauced chicken was good too Would recommend going, but wouldn't prioritize going again. Abigail did love though since it was dairy free"

"Receding dining room spanned by glowing glass arches: very cool space, gives great vibes to the atmosphere. The menu revolves around South Korean fried chicken (with limited fish and vegetables options). Chicken is served plain or varnished with a glossy soy sauce or a reddish gochujang glaze. Plain won; the soy sauce was too bland. Overall, the place is cool and good, but you don’t go more than once, unless you have a special crave for fried chicken. FD: Bucket List"

"6.7/10 — Fried Chicken & Caviar. Vibe is lovely. Went to lunch w/ Wendell. Chicken was really normal. 6.2/10 (something you can get at many places)… Wendell also ordered a chicken & rice which came in a tin like you were ordering from a halal guys. The caviar was tasty (8.3/10) The wine / champaign list is top level. The ambiance is good to go. Great level of service & I liked that they had basically a wash room as you entered the restaurant. Expensive. For 2 people at lunch, granted we had drinks was over $100 each. "

"Michelin Guide mention 2024 Signature fried chicken bucket ($38 per person) It's very hard to snag a table at this hot spot. (Pro tip: join the line out front if you can't get a reservation.) The rigamarole is worth it, as the ambience at this Korean fried chicken spot is just plain fun. There are other items on the compact menu, but you're here for the chicken. Available as a "bucket" that includes chicken consommé to start, followed by two waves of different types of gluten-free fried chicken with house-made sauces, along with cold perilla seed noodles. Finally, yogurt soft serve completes the meal. Stick to the bucket for a reasonable bill, but splurge, add caviar and extras and it climbs quickly. Cocktails play into the theme, but champagne is the star, with a nice range of offerings by the glass, as well as full and half bottles for every budget."

"You don't dine at Coqodaq so much as experience it. This latest entry from Simon Kim's Gracious Hospitality Management (the people behind nearby darling COTE Korean Steakhouse) is a “fried chicken cathedral” that purports to sling a healthier take on the dish by using cultured oil and a gluten-free batter blend with rice flour. While I cannot speak to its efficacy in that department, what I can report is a startling zero on the digestive issues post-feast—a first for food that is indeed deeply fried. It helps that it's delicious, with the signature fried chicken bucket ($38 per person) coming with roasted chicken consommé, copious ban-chan, cold noodles, and a delicate seasonal frozen yogurt to finish. One of the great splurges of your lifetime—and it's a splurge I do recommend making, if only just once—is the golden nugget, which comes topped with either ocean trout roe ($16 per piece) or Golden Daurenki caviar ($28 per piece).
