"Eater reco — Super casual low country food. Mainly all classics for the region (even if I’ve never tried before.) Tucked away in the Eastside neighborhood, this Lowcountry legend has served classic Charleston dishes since 1985. Far off the tourist path on Blake Street, try Gullah Geechee cuisine staples like crab rice, lima beans with smoked turkey neck bones, okra soup, and local shark. Open for lunch and dinner, this casual spot meets the need for Lowcountry flavors in a relaxed atmosphere."

"They say that the shrimp and crab rice is an absolute must! It’s pretty good, but it was a small portion for the price. Kind of what you’d expect for its ingredients - nothing too spectacular. I had higher hopes. ⚠️service sucks, order takeout via phone (if they even answer) - you’ll get your food on time. "
