"Nel distretto del Retiro, uno dei più lussuosi della città, si trova un negozio di fiori molto speciale, con rivendita di vino e una grande cella frigorifera. Proprio dietro la sua porta si nasconde la vera essenza del locale: uno speakeasy bar e ristorante, con un lunghissimo bancone dove scoprire lavorazioni, cotture e preparazioni a vista. L’idea di Aline Vargas, Renato (per gli amici Tato) Giovannoni e Julian Diaz era di riprendere la mixology tradizionale di Buenos Aires di primo Ottocento adattandola al pubblico contemporaneo. Un indirizzo ancora attuale a distanza di un decennio dalla sua nascita."

"À première vue, cette boutique qui fait office de caviste et de fleuriste n’a rien de bien particulier hormis sa décoration agréable au cœur même de la Recoleta. Mais poussez la lourde de porte en fonte face à la caisse et vous découvrirez l’un des bars cachés les plus à la mode. Les cocktails et les tapas sont excellents malgré un prix élevés. Pour avoir une table, venez tôt ou réservez On a eu un gros coup de coeur pour Florería Atlántico, un bar caché sous un fleuriste. Nous avions vu que le bar était dans le top des meilleurs bars à cocktail du monde, alors nous ne pouvions pas passer à côté ! Et on valide complètement. Les cocktails sont recherchés, les tapas sont bons et originaux, la musique est cool et le service est vraiment sympa. "

Today, the Buenos Aires-based bar has reached double figures and its latest drinks list – many using the bartender’s own-brand vermouths and gin – pays tribute to Argentina's Indigenous and rural communities, an encyclopaedic work undertaken by Giovannoni and historian Felipe Pigna. Giovannoni has long taken a sustainable approach, his team working closely with farmers to cultivate autochthonous ingredients and he rolls out the philosophy on a greater scale: in 2022, he hosted the third edition of Festival Atlántico, which brought together 150 bartenders to share their sustainability know-how."
