"Instagram review: 21 Dec 2023 📍 Sabor - London Type: 🇪🇸 Michelin: ⭐️ Price: 💷💷💷 (130-150£) Rating: 7,5/10 🔅🔅🔅🔅 5/5 Outstanding -Seafood Rice -Pineapple Sorbet 🔅🔅🔅🔅 4/5 High Quality -Fried pig ears -Tortilla Gallega -Morcilla de burgos & Txistorras (Black pudding and sausages) -Suckling Pig 🐖 -Sauté baby spinach, Manchego cheese 🔅🔅🔅 3/5 Good -Seasonal desserts 🗓️ Visit: December 2023 Getting older has never been so yummy…like a snob blondie queen this year I had a “one week celebration” full of calories ended in my lovely Christmas-loaded London. After few refresh of my all-time favourites like Jamavar and Cedric Grolet (not sto wow that time tbo)…my last stop spoke Spanish. Only 50m away from the heart of Oxford street…Sabor is one of the only 2 Michelin ⭐️ Spanish restaurants in London (together with the big boss Barrafina). With a “only walk in” counter table at the ground floor and a bookable dining room upstairs (with 2 different menu btw) Sabor welcomes guests in a very latin vibe….with chaos 😂 and people going everywhere doing everything. But…despite of my personal preferences for silent contests…that one was cool! Based on a lively young staff full of smiles! (Fun fact…all of them speak Spanish, but only few know English) It must be said that i loved the food tasting more and more over the objective 7,5 could leve to imagination. Menu changes not only seasonally but also daily! According to freshest ingredients (I know…all of us hate that…as far as we know it is the best way to work!) Be sure that when I say “High quality” it means almost unmissable! Can’t rate them outstanding ‘cause simply they are not like the unreachable Spanish icons…but the gap is very very thin and every order added is worth it!! (yes…also about spinach!) Together with the Suckling King of the show 🐖 (take it whole or half) another signature here is the octopus we could’t try but should be insane. Ratings speak for ne about sorbet…. Aaaaah ppl are always so scared when it comes to be a Third wheel…poor them. Blew out my last candles of the week with my marvellous couple @marco @nam and I couldn’t have desired a better way to celebrate. Can’t wait for next ❣️"

@crista

"Bar / counter (best) / restaurant "

@emilysabush

"Spanish tapas restaurant, exactly same concept as Barrafina but in my opinion actually way more fire menu (especially if you’re a seafood lover). If you’re choosing between the two go to this one. It’s a bit newer so the wait could be longer, especially if you’re going on a weekend night. This one is like border of Mayfair / SoHo area."

@serenarose

"Spanish, Michelin star in 2018"

@bruna.souza

"In an alley just off Regent Street, chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho and her team have recreated a little bit of Ramblas. Sabor is a light airy space over two floors where you can pick your seat to fit your style. Sit at the ground floor tapas bar and down cocktails, or take in views of the wood-burning asador from a table upstairs and be served elegantly. The menu ranges from simple tapas preparations to substantial parts of roast pig. The vibe is best described as constantly on the edge of a party. Sabor received a Michelin star in 2018 but wears it lightly and still holds seats for walk-ins."

@ale96ange

"Heddon Street may not quite resemble a side street in Seville but it can sometimes lead to serendipitous discoveries. Sabor is the brainchild of chef Nieves Barragán, and she has created something authentic and truly joyful with co-owner José Etura, who has assembled a charming service team. There are three distinct areas: on the ground floor is the bar and opposite, a counter serving tapas from all over Spain. Upstairs is El Asador, the only area for which bookings are taken; here you sit at communal tables enjoying specialities from Galicia and Castile. There are two must-haves: succulent Segovian suckling pig – quartered, halved or whole – and roasted in the specially built oven, and the melt-in-the-mouth octopus cooked in vast copper pans. You’ll be licking your lips for hours."

"The black tomato, confit artichoke and Txistorra salad - No filter needed after finally getting my parents and I to @sabor_ldn and very nice to see @nieves_barragan1 and José back in their familiar surroundings kicking out Incredible food with a fun, relaxed atmosphere. - My family and I have followed these 2 from the start of Barrafina and we have always had a lot of fun with fantastic food! Can’t wait to be back to try the grill upstairs... - - - -"

@goodfeedguys

@alexia.carnet

"One of the best Spanish food in the UK. Go for the Chorizo Tortilla "

@bdavoust28

@cbeignon

"When to go: When you’re in need of some tapas fun. What to have: Everything wows, but the just-runny salt-cod tortilla is sheer eggy bliss. "
