Dim Sum Go Go : Restaurant Chinois à Manhattan

"Chinois Michelin This wildly popular joint is still packed to the gills most days, and for good reason: the Cantonese fare and dim sum served here is as good as promised. Even better, they take reservations—and dim sum orders are taken by the staff, thereby ensuring that the food stays fresh. However, guests should avoid shared tables during the weekend rush as service can verge on chaotic. If the price seems a bit higher than its competitors, you’ll find it’s worth it for dishes like sweet shrimp, rolled in rice paper and laced with dark soy sauce. Plump snow pea leaf dumplings are spiked with vibrant ginger and garlic and may be tailed by rich duck dumplings or an irresistibly flaky roast pork pie."

"This wildly popular joint is still packed to the gills most days, and for good reason: the Cantonese fare and dim sum served here is as good as the food you’ll find in those authentic places in far-flung Queens.

"DONT GO HERE, NOT WORTH GO TO THAT LITTLE ST W THE STOOLS INSTEAD. Great dim sum. The fried pork dumplings. Don’t get the steamed mushroom and shrimp jawn. The mongo pudding desert is phenomenal with real mango chunks at the bottom. "

"Dim Sum Go Go is directly across the street from Golden Unicorn, the Dim Sum capital of Manhattan. And while I do love Golden Unicorn, Dim Sum Go Go I always enjoy a bit more. The options, as is tradition, are vast, and the rice roll, dumpling, and fried options are all immaculate. You can BYO to Dim Sum Go Go, and you absolutely should. Ideal Meal: Brunch or Dinner Price: $$ Ideal Group Number: 2-8 Best Thing on the Menu: Dim sum options. As much as you can. Go crazy. Also Great: Fried salt and pepper squid, minced duck with lettuce leaves, roasted garlic chicken, peking duck, Go Go seafood rice Drink Order: BYOB of wine Note: The restaurant is also quite large (they have a second floor) and can accommodate larger groups. It’s a great spot for a birthday. "
