"Castle Hot Springs is a high-end, adults-only desert wellness resort in Morristown, Arizona, about an hour north of Phoenix. Think: secluded canyon oasis, natural hot springs, farm-to-table dining, bungalows/cabins, guided activities, spa treatments, and a quiet luxury vibe. Why it stands out Castle Hot Springs is not a typical Arizona resort with golf, big pools, and crowds. It is more of a luxury retreat: hot springs, hiking, yoga, farm tours, desert scenery, and chef-driven meals. The resort says rates include three daily meals, many activities, hot springs access, housekeeping gratuities, and no resort fee. Alcohol, specialty beverages, spa treatments, and some premium activities may cost extra. Best for Couples, anniversary trips, wellness getaways, quiet luxury, and people who like the idea of “all-inclusive but refined.” It is especially good if you want a restorative 2–3 night trip without leaving the U.S. Accommodations The property has a small-room-count, intimate feel. Options typically include Spring Bungalows, Sky View Cabins, and larger cottage-style accommodations. Spring Bungalows are especially appealing because some include private outdoor soaking tubs fed by the hot springs. Activities Included or commonly offered activities include guided hikes, yoga/meditation, farm tours, pickleball, cruiser bikes, archery, and other outdoor programming. The resort also has more adventurous options such as e-bike tours, UTV tours, rappelling, and tastings, though some activities may be extra. Pricing Expect it to be expensive. Recent published travel coverage listed nightly rates starting around $1,875, all-inclusive, with spa, alcohol, some adventure activities, and private tours extra. A 2–3 night stay can easily become a $4,000–$8,000+ trip for two depending on dates, room type, taxes, extras, and spa. Good to know Castle Hot Springs is adults-only according to recent review coverage, and arrivals/departures may be limited to certain days. Some stays have minimum-night requirements depending on arrival date or package. The approach road is remote and partly unpaved; you do not necessarily need a serious 4x4, but a higher-clearance SUV is a plus. My take This looks like a top-tier U.S. wellness/luxury escape rather than a value resort. For your style of travel, I’d put it in the same mental bucket as places like Dunton, Brush Creek, or other high-end “destination retreat” properties: memorable, quiet, scenic, expensive, and best justified for a milestone occasion. Best time would be fall through spring; summer can be hot, though the resort has been promoting special summer openings/rates. "

"Experience relaxation and adventure at Castle Hot Springs, a luxury resort and spa tucked into the Bradshaw Mountains an hour north of Phoenix, AZ"

"The majority of the rooms are free standing bungalows or cottages. The cottages have a mid-century feel and each have indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a smart nouveau-southwest look. Many have outdoor soaking tubs with hot and cold handles, and then a special faucet that delivers water directly from the hot springs for an ultra-private soak. There is absolutely nothing else nearby. It is the antithesis of the hotel scene in Scottsdale (where day drinking on rafts in huge swimming pools, golf courses, and afternoon shopping trips rule the day). Tip: go to the hot springs late at night. It's about a 5 minute walk from most bungalows and is lit just enough that you can see where you're walking, but it's not at all bright. You're likely to have the pools to yourself and you just float and look up at the stars (there's no light pollution) and breathe in the desert night air."

"Arizona’s desert landscape transforms into a verdant oasis studded with palm trees at Castle Hot Springs, the state’s very first resort, in the Bradshaw Mountains. Not only will you likely see wild burros bathing at the base of centuries-old saguaro cacti, but you’ll also be able to soak in the canyon's storied, yet inconspicuous, natural hot springs. If that isn’t enough, you can also explore the nearby Lake Pleasant for water sports and sunny adventures."

"Saw in WSJ magazine. JFK came here after World War II. Hot Springs. Recently renovated. About 1700+ a night."

"First established in 1896, the Castle Hot Springs, a 2020 Hot List Winner, has long been a retreat for some of America’s most famous families and Hollywood glitterati. Although set against the rugged Bradshaw Mountains, this all-inclusive desert oasis sits just fifty miles outside of Phoenix. Reserve one of the Spring Bungalow rooms—they come with stone soaking tub complete with the healing properties of the resort’s natural hot spring waters."
