"On Sicily’s wild, volcanic island of Pantelleria, Parco dei Sesi is a soulful retreat designed for slow days. Set within a 5,000-year-old archaeological park, the 12 dammusi (traditional stone dwellings) are scattered across olive groves and caper fields, with views of sunsets over the sea. Interiors are earthy, with curated art and handcrafted details. Guests spend their days with yoga, sound healing, or dips in the saltwater pool, followed by aperitivi and farm-to-table dinners under the stars. Direct flights to the island from Palermo take just 50 minutes. Rooms from €130 per night."

"An absolutely magical place! We stayed here for a week at the beginning of October and cannot have had a better experience. Photos cannot even capture the beauty of the property and rooms, there is something new to discover every day and quirky objects placed throughout. Being introverted we did not expect to be so social with other guests, however Parco dei Sesi effortlessly creates a convivial atmosphere and we had so much fun eating and drinking with people from all over the world - it might seem daunting but participating in all the communal dinners was our favourite part of our trip. The food Angelo prepares is so incredibly fresh and light and unique, the natural wines from the island are incredible, and the kittens frolicking around are endlessly entertaining. This is not a traditional "hotel" in any way - do not expect a check in desk, drinks menu or people doting over you constantly. You just have to ask and you shall receive, and just go with the flow. Book a sound-bath or massage with Claire. Just make sure you catch the sunset every day. We cannot wait to come back."

"Three years ago, Margot and Massismiliano moved to Pantelleria to renovate the Dammuso (the typical ancient homes on the island). The ones at Parco dei Sesi were originally built by Massimiliano’s father, Filippo Panseca, in the ’70s. The Pansecas are renowned artists, and it was inevitable that art and design be rooted throughout the whole project."

"Parco dei Sesi, Pantelleria Parco dei Sesi, within the archaeological park, is an artistic hub with 13 rooms designed in harmony with the wild, Mediterranean surroundings. It was here on Pantelleria, the energetic island, that Massimiliano and Margot met seven years ago and, after a long-distance relationship, decided to come back and create a home from which guests could explore the volcanic Sicilian island. The property overlooks the sea, a mere 200 meters away, where the sun slowly sets on the horizon creating a deep, golden glow throughout the property – best enjoyed with a glass of local wine on the rooftop sat on Moroccan Kilim Poufs. Inspired by the island, the furnishings are minimal, using raw, natural and local materials. Conviviality is the heart of Parco dei Sesi, with four dinners a week that encourage guests to sit around the long wooden table and share conversation as the hot pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven. This is a place to disconnect; with a lack of TV and in-room WiFi, you’ll have no other choice than to embrace the simple, barefoot life. Lucrezia Worthington Like a tiny diamond in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, the Italian island of Pantelleria is home to Parco dei Sesi - a retreat more than a resort that sometimes doubles as an artists' colony. Founders Massimiliano and Margot Panseca moved to the island from Milan to create a place for relaxation, sunset watching, socializing, and hiking. The intimate property serves meals at communal tables, where many guests become lifelong friends. But it's just as easy to spend time alone exploring the island's geothermal springs and natural saunas inside deep caves."
