"Bonfire Burritos is absolutely worth putting on your list — especially if you like big, Colorado-style breakfast burritos with green chile. One correction: it’s not actually in Denver proper. The original and best-known location is Bonfire Burritos - Golden at 2221 Ford St. in Golden. They now also have locations in Olde Town Arvada and Wheat Ridge. The signature order is the Chupacabra: eggs, crispy hash browns, green chile, sausage, chorizo, bacon, cheddar, cotija and chipotle crema. It’s the “go big” choice. The Javelina is more interesting if you like sweet/spicy combinations — chorizo, jalapeño, grilled pineapple and jalapeño-pineapple crema. Their Classic is simpler, and they also have vegetarian and vegan options. The food is made largely from scratch, and they smoke their pork and carne asada in-house. The Golden location also has coffee, cocktails and a patio, so it feels more like a destination breakfast/brunch stop than a grab-and-go burrito counter. It’s currently rated 4.4/5 from about 790 reviews. The downside is the same one you hear repeatedly: it gets busy, waits can be long, and the burritos aren’t cheap anymore. Even Denver-area food discussions that like the food frequently mention the price. For you, I’d rate it about 8.5/10 and worth a drive from Littleton. I’d specifically go to the Golden location, order a Chupacabra with 50/50 green chile, and make it part of a Golden outing rather than driving there solely for breakfast. Golden is open daily 7 AM–3 PM. "

"7- tasty burrito, chupacabra was a bit mushy (lacked texture play), but flavor and ingredients were good, Michele got javelina which was good but nervous it’s too pineapple forward. Chips are good, guac has a nice flavor but is very chunky. Would come back here again"
