Paris Super Instagrammable
Initially, in 1622, two mills were installed on that location.
Their vocation: grinding wheat of course, but also pressing grapes and crushing various materials.
But it is in 1834 that the mill became famous. One of the heirs decided to create a "guinguette" and a dance, and to name the whole "Moulin de la Galette".
Why this name? To pay a tribute to the "galette", the rye bread roll that was originally made there
