"entrée Promenade Brooklyn bridge"

"Take subway Line 6 Down Town from Canal St. Deep below City Hall lies an abandoned and forgotten subway station which is actually one of the most beautiful in all of NYC. It still has all its former splendour - the original tile work, the curved archways, the brass chandeliers and the vaulted ceilings, and if you want to catch a glimpse, take the 6 train downtown and sit in the front wagon. When the train makes its final stop at “Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall” passengers are told to exit. Stay on the train and duck down so as not to be easily spotted and wait for it to head back north Look out the small front window. The headlight of the train lits up the abandoned station as the train passes through it. The City Hall was the first subway station ever built in Manhattan. It opened in 1904 but had to close in 1945 when newer, longer subway cars could no longer fit on its curved tracks."

"See the ghost station on the 6 line by staying on the subway line after the last stop! You’ll see it on the right :) "

"The station is at the end of the 6 train line which terminates at the “Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall Station” in Lower Manhattan. We recommend using this Google Maps link for directions to the station. It is located beneath the magnificent Municipal Building at the intersection of Centre Street and Chambers Street. Because the downtown-bound 6 train must make a U-turn to head back uptown, the train makes a loop through this secret station. Here's how to see it: Take the 6 train heading downtown. When the train makes its final stop at the “Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall” station, passengers are told to exit the train. Stay on the train and duck down so as not to be easily spotted. When the train departs the station it will pass through the abandoned City Hall Station. That's when you can get a view of the station - be discreet. NOTE: The 6 train is a local train. Depending on the distance you would be traveling, you might consider taking the 4 or 5 express trains to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall station and jumping on the 6 train there."
