"No eyes and tails greet you at this fish counter – just friendly chef proprietor Adam in his open kitchen behind a beautiful array of cleaned and prepped fillets and seafood. Check the extensive menu, then take his advice on today’s best. Having started with a fish shop, he knows his seafood. Most dishes rely on the quality of the catch and are simply grilled with a few herbs and spices, finished with local olive oil. But don’t miss the latest starter: panfried artichoke with smoked cod and lemon. Everything is expertly cooked – even the octopus is perfectly tender. And for the adventurous, there are the likes of sea snails and goose-necked barnacles. The restaurant (with attached takeaway) is decorated in white and marine blues, with a terrace on the street outside. The atmosphere fresh but warm – welcoming in any weather.
