"Craftsman house; different rooms unfolding on two floors. Traditional place, the atmosphere feels lively but still very local. Kitchen is rustic American gastropub format; rich, comfort-driven dishes: burgers; bone marrow, mushroom soup, steaks and seasonal California produce. Not refined, but above average for this kind of place. Well known basement-bar; very assorted; stronger nightlife energy than most of the area "
