Central Park Zoo - Visite du zoo à Central Park
Le Central Park Zoo présente des animaux venant d'Asie, des régions polaires et de la côte californienne. Dans le Territoire Tempéré, observez les pandas roux, les léopards des neiges et les singes des neiges. Rendez-vous aux Cercles Polaires pour voir les adorables pingouins. Parmi les autres points forts, on trouve les ours grizzlys, les lions de mer de Californie et les lémuriens. Le zoo abrite également un cinéma 4D destiné aux visiteurs âgés de six ans et plus. Le cinéma est payant mais inclus dans le prix du billet. Près de l'entrée se trouve l'adorable horloge musicale Delacorte, où des animaux en bronze entourent l'horloge et jouent des chansons pour enfants ou des morceaux saisonniers toutes les demi-heures. Assistere al pasto dei trichechi e dei pinguini è uno spettacolo chiassoso (sul sito ci sono gli orari). "The Central Park Zoo features animals from the Asia, polar regions, and the California Coast. In the Temperate Territory, watch for red pandas, snow leopards, and snow monkeys. Head over to the Polar Circles to see the much-loved penguins. Other animal highlights include grizzly bears, California sea lions, and lemurs. Also located at the zoo is a 4D Theater intended for visitors aged six and up. The theater charges a fee but is included with a full price ticket. Near the entrance is the charming Delacorte Musical Clock, where bronze animals encircle the time piece and play children's songs or seasonal pieces every half hour. --- The Central Park Zoo happened by accident. It was not included in the original plans for the park but was started when New Yorkers started leaving “gifts” of exotic animals in the park. The park found itself with a menagerie on its hands, including swans and bears. A couple of years later, the city decided to make it official. The New York State Assembly recognized the Central Park Zoo, making it the second publicly owned zoo in the country. The zoo has received two major overhauls. The first was in the 1930s when the zoo became the Robert Moses Zoo. During this renovation, the famous Sea Lion Pool was added. This pool was considered groundbreaking because the designer actually studied the habits of sea lions and tried to make the pool resemble their natural habitat. The next renovation occurred in the 1980s when the old-fashioned menagerie cages were taken out and replaced with natural, open habitats. Many of the larger animals were moved to the Bronx Zoo. The Sea Lion Pool was redesigned and remains the central feature of the zoo. On the way out, make sure you check out the Delacorte Clock. The clock was donated by George Delacorte and features animals that move in a circle to nursery rhymes every half-hour. (The clock plays 44 different songs!)"

"Enfin, si vous voyagez avec vos enfants, emmenez-les au zoo de Central Park. Ce zoo n’est pas très grand mais il propose tout de même une grande variété d’animaux. En vedette : les panthères des neiges, les otaries et les pingouins. Le zoo de Central Park est aussi célèbre pour avoir été revu et corrigé dans le dessin animé Madagascar."

"Pas aussi grand et beau que le zoo du Bronx, il abrite environ 500 animaux répartis en trois zones climatiques : la zone tropicale, la zone tempérée et la zone polaire et ses nombreux pingouins. Le zoo n'est pas très grand, mais offre une petite balade sympa et originale. Les singes perchés sur le haut de leurs rochers, avec en fond, les immeubles de la 5e Avenue offrent une vision un peu déconcertante de la ville. A l'intérieur du zoo se trouve le Tisch Children's zoo, un petit square pour enfants avec des toboggans et la possibilité de voir de très près des chèvres, des poneys et des tortues."
