Located in the former industrial site of Vulkan, it plays host to an impressive selection of local and international food options, with over 40 specialty shops, cafés, and eateries serving everything from traditional Norwegian dishes to tapas, sushi, artisanal cheeses, and delicious pastries. If you fancy improving your cooking skills while you’re at it, Mathallen has a culinary academy located on the second floor where you can take a variety of cooking classes, or learn everything you need to know about wine tasting. The food hall’s emphasis on sustainability and supporting local farmers is another highlight: Many of the vendors get their ingredients from local farms and producers, ensuring a fresh, seasonal menu."
