"One of the best meals of my life. We sat in the lower level and it was cozy and had a great atmosphere. The staff was amazing and very helpful. We decided to go with the tasting menu, which was the best choice I could’ve made. The portions were huge and we could barely eat them, definitely the way to go if you want to share with someone so you can try more things. They sent us home with a thank you postcard and a custom menu from our meal. Couldn’t recommend more! (Double Michelin Star)"

"2 Michelin stars 2025 (first 2 stars in UK) The clubs of colonial India are the inspiration for this impeccably run restaurant. It's spread across two levels: the ground floor booths are perfect for lunch, while the vivid red basement has a more intimate feel. The extensive menus are predominantly Northern Indian in style, featuring superbly executed, traditionally based dishes. Balance, sophistication and depth are all present in the cooking, with options like tandoori masala lamb chops and kid goat methi keema standing out."

"Insta review: 03 Jul 2023 📍Gymkhana, London 🇬🇧 Type: 🇮🇳 Michelin: ⭐️⭐️ Price: 💷💷💷 (100-120£) Rating: 8/10 🔅🔅🔅🔅🔅 5/5 Outstanding Chicken Masala Dal Maharani 🔅🔅🔅🔅 4/5 High Quality Duck Egg Buhurji Lobster Aloo Chat Lamb Chops Lamb Shank Raganjosh Muntjac Biryani Sorbet 🔅🔅🔅 3/5 Good Kheer (Dessert) 🔅 1/5 Useless Venison Keema Naan 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Kid Goat Pao 🌶️🌶️ Falooda (Dessert) 🗓️ 1 Visit Nov 2022 🗓️ 2 Visit Feb 2023 Gymkhana is a sure bet…Everyone loves Gymkhana and it’s so clear why. Totally outstanding Indian fine dining across all the menu…Chicken masala and black Dal are something to die for, but anyway…you will love all dishes you will order. Just some tips to maximize the experience. -Avoid Venison Naan and Goat Pao. I have a great tolerance, but they are simply too much spicy…you risk to compromise the tasting of next dishes and your friends maybe won’t like them, tending to abuse with sauces/breads to cover the spicy…getting full with no sense. So leave your ego at the door and simply ignore them. -Finish the dinner with the sorbet! Desserts are quite ordinary there, you can avoid them. Eat more savory dishes and finish your dinner with their unexpected high quality sorbet and DELICIOUS ending chocolates given for free. -Ask for a table at downstairs. More space around you, less confusion thanks to few tables available and really cool decor!"

"Best Indian restaurant for: Michelin-starred fine dining Dish to order: Muntjac biryani, pomegranate and mint raita Gymkhana has an excellent reputation for fancy fare that leaves you feeling truly satisfied. Taking inspiration from the old gymkhana clubs of India, the polished dark timber and rich printed fabric transports you away from central London in an instant. The tasting menu is a gorgeous treat but will require an empty stomach; portions are generous and full of flavour, from the cull yaw mutton samosa to start, to the cardamom kheer, fresh mango and mango sorbet pudding. As with many memorable restaurants, it’s the service that really sets Gymkhana apart from its competitors, so don’t be shy when it comes to asking for advice on what to order. Perfetto in ogni aspetto.
