"My saving grace for a mere three hours of sleep on the night I got stranted in New York after the Carlyle pilot. My original flight home on Delta was canceled due to inclement weater, so I swapped to a United flight that ended up getting delayed (first 3 hours, then another hour) before getting outright canceled after we had already boarded the plane. The Sheraton I’d stayed at the prior nights was all full, as were the other places I looked around the airport, so by some stroke of God I was able to book this on Egencia and they (so relievingly) had a room open for me by the time I finally got on the LaGuardia link away from the airport (to get service to call an Uber) and then took an Uber all the way back to Midtown after 1am. A shower, a bed, three hours of sleep, and right back in an Uber to post up for a 9am flight back to Chicago before leaving for Iowa for Good Friday. THANK YOU HILTON MIDTOWN."
