"This lively Italian restaurant occupies a trendy space in Hyde Park Village, featuring chic contemporary décor, a mix of indoor dining and covered outdoor patio seating, and an energetic atmosphere enhanced by regular live music performances. Opened in June 2019 by a team with over 100 years of combined restaurant experience, Forbici (meaning "scissors" in Italian, pronounced for-BICH-ee) built its concept around Roman-style pizza cut with scissors, bringing fresh-made modern Italian cuisine with family traditions to Tampa's dining scene. The restaurant is known for its diverse menu spanning signature Cup & Char Square Pizza with crispy pepperoni edges, handmade pasta dishes like tagliatelle bolognese and tortellini, Italian tapas including meatballs with ricotta, and an all-Italian wine list complemented by craft cocktails and wines on tap, plus accommodating vegan and gluten-free options. With its vibrant, upscale-casual atmosphere that works equally well for date nights or family dinners, daily happy hour specials, weekend brunch offerings, and an adjacent quick-service concept called Slice Joynt for grab-and-go pizza, Forbici has established itself as a Hyde Park favorite where the food consistently delivers and the atmosphere makes every meal feel like a celebration."
