"What’s on it? Bacon, scallop and black pudding There are way too many brutally over-filled and excessively-plumped sandwiches doing the rounds in London right now. We’ve decided to bring it back to basics with this simple, but devastatingly effective offering from Epping Forest’s near-legendary Oyster Shack. Just three ingredients – unless you count the small river of melted butter coating the innards of the perfectly yielding tiger-striped bread roll – this meat-and-seafood combo is straightforward in execution, but the tender scallops, sizzling bacon and a discus of black pudding make for the most indulgently satisfying sandwich in the city. Enjoyed best with a pint of Guinness from the King’s Oak Hotel boozer next door."

"hand dived king scallops on the specials board are the best of all options, get two or three. always half a dozen maldron cod cheeks fine but not mind blowing crab roll a must didn't have but looked good: shell on prawns, fresh calamari."
