"L’hôtel et le restaurant appartiennent a la famille proprietaire de Golden Goose. La vue est dingue (insister pour avoir une bonne table en terrasse). Très rigolo de voir les bateaux passer et d’être au coeur du Rialto sans la foule. C’est bon mais service un peu standard international hormis Lorenzo le sommelier incroyablement sympathique qui parle un Français impeccable et parle volontiers de vin, de Venise et… de Jean-Jacques Rousseau."

"5* | From €550pn Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo, the founders of the Golden Goose fashion brand, imagined a unique hotel project in the City of the Doges by rehabilitating a former Grand Canal palace while creating a cultural hub dedicated to design and contemporary art. The couple worked with local historians and architects to restore the Ca'da Mosto Palace to its former glory. One of the suites on the noble floor welcomed in the 18th century the painter Canaletto, who made in these places some of his famous paintings representing the Grand Canal. The palace was also one of the first hotels in Venice, opened as early as the 16th century, where Mozart and Voltaire slept. This legacy did not slow down the owners in their desire to create a modern establishment with the largest spa in the city. Contemporary design and works marry perfectly with the fabulous maze of living rooms, moldings, period walls. A wing of suites and rooms — each linked to a movement or an artist — was inaugurated in December 2023, a new chapter of this project in perpetual movement."

"Alessandro and Francesca Gallo, the founders of Golden Goose, made waves up and down the Grand Canal in 2021 when they opened a spectacular conceptual hotel, The Venice Venice. Its rooms have towering ceilings and contemporary art on the walls; the restaurant and boutique feature one-off fashion editions, exclusive design products and rotating exhibitions. This month Gallo is extending the vision with another 20 rooms in an adjoining palazzo. All are dedicated to singular figures in the worlds of the fine and performing arts; there’s an “immersive” spa called Felix Anima, with an installation by the Brooklyn- and Palermo-based artist Francesco Simeti, and a first-floor bar, The Venice Bitter Club. The rooms continue the design-as-provocation theme, showcasing both boldface and lesser-known names, from the lofty classicism of Luca Pignatelli’s painting to the ’70s and ’80s grit of photographer Brad Elterman."
