"1 Michelin star 2023 Many restaurants boast of inspired flavors and technique, but few flaunt such cooking prowess as Maydan-a veritable showstopper whose roaring hearth verges on wildfire. The precision required of the team may be consuming and cooking technique elemental, but the results are delicious bliss. A la carte is available, but the prix-fixe is a popular feast, with bread and spreads; veggies and meats; and a dessert to round it out. Flatbreads with muhamarra, hummus and smoked mutabal is a meal unto itself; while tahini-coconut rice pudding with candied cardamom makes a compelling finish. Guests seated in this rustic space-with patterned wood and lofty ceilings-are made even more comfortable with an array of singular Middle Eastern-inspired sips and labels."
