The first level is a bookstore set up by Hachette publishing house that makes for a great place to kick back with some exquisite Indian tea or coffee. The second floor is where this highly awarded cocktail bar really comes to life. A long wooden bar flanked by dark wood furniture and a back bar lined with a remarkable selection of spirits, house-made vermouths and bitters, make Sidecar the kind of bar that gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling you’re looking for when you want to escape the hubbub of the city outside. You can choose from a range of classics, signatures, and an ever-changing specials menu of cocktails while you also enjoy some quality bar nibbles by the in-house chef. "No. 67 Worlds 100 Best Bars 2023 (91 in 2020) Flying the flag for India in the Asia's 50 Best Bars list, Sidecar – set up by industry stalwarts Yangdup Lama and Minakshi Singh – has something for everyone. The highlight, of course, is the second-floor bar, set above the restaurant on the first floor. This light and spacious wood-panelled space features a stage for live music, and an extensive drinks selection. The bar’s interpretation of its namesake cocktail takes pride of place on the menu, combining cognac, bourbon, roasted corn and lime acid. Its current menu, Dear Delhi, is a tribute to its surrounding city, with drinks like the Bhumi – a fusion of sous vide makroot lime gin, camphor cordial and orange foam – formulated by memories of suburban life growing up in the region."
