L’Appartement 4F is a French-inspired bakery founded by husband-and-wife duo Gautier and Ashley Coiffard. It began as a home-based venture during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since grown into a beloved New York City establishment.  Brooklyn Heights Location The first brick-and-mortar bakery opened in May 2022 at 115 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. Known for its hand-rolled croissants, slow-fermented sourdough breads, and artisanal pastries, the bakery quickly gained popularity, often drawing lines of eager customers each morning.   West Village Location Building on their success, L’Appartement 4F expanded to Manhattan, opening a second location on February 1, 2025, at 119 West 10th Street in the West Village. This new spot continues the tradition of offering French baked goods, including their signature croissants and the popular croissant cereal.   Both locations embody the essence of a Parisian bakery, bringing a touch of France to New York City."
