"Opened in 1993, Bistro Don Giovanni is the hidden gem you will want to uncover on every Napa Valley trip. There’s an Old World feel to this celebrated Italian restaurant that’s woven into the culture of Napa Valley, capturing the hearts of tourists and locals alike"

"Octopus salad was good but not great, same with clam pasta, but lamb gnocchi was amazing"

"This Tuscan-style, couple-run establishment is a favorite for locals as well as tourists who may seek alternatives to Napa’s heavy emphasis on Italian and California cuisine. Sit on the terrace overlooking a stretch of vineyards below and catch ambient whiffs from the restaurant’s herb garden; the interior is brightly lit with a wood-burning hearth inside. The menu includes a handful of pizza and pasta dishes, as well as mains like scottish salmon and pork chops—all of which include locally-sourced ingredients. The wine menu is a mix of Napa and Italian bottles. For souvenirs or gifts, owners Donna and Giovanni Scala also offer jars of house-cured olives grown directly outside the terrace. "

"There’s an Old World feel to Bistro Don Giovanni, one of Napa’s most celebrated Italian restaurants. It’s a place that’s woven into the culture of Napa Valley, capturing the hearts of tourists and locals alike. The fritto misto ($20) is crackly and uncomplicated, while pastas are made in-house and have that desirable al dente chew — order the pasta of the day like the recent short rib ravioli ($34). For entrees, the salmon ($38), on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes, is deceptively straightforward, but a seared crust makes it shine. There’s a general cozy buzz that radiates throughout the space, with kitschy art and copper pans hanging near the kitchen. Also featured on Top Napa Valley Restaurants."

"A very popular and fun place. Excellent and efficient service. The food is popular Italian, done simply and well. If the weather is good, book ahead for a table in the garden. "
