China Tang At The Dorchester
China Tang at The Dorchester : restaurant chinois à Londres

"China Tang bears the unmistakable fingerprint of its flamboyant creator, Sir David Tang, dressed to impress even London’s most glamorous clientele. From the low-key Art Deco entrance on Park Lane, guests descend into a subterranean world inspired by the romance of pre-war Shanghai, where quirky objets d’arts twinkle in every corner and plush banquettes and ornate paneling flank the walls. The Bar at China Tang, a 1930’s-styled jewel and re-imagination of Sir David’s living room, welcomes you to experience our unique Cantonese afternoon tea, or to sample a selection of London’s finest libations and live music, in the heart of Central London."

"China Tang at The Dorchester offers deeply comforting Chinese favorites, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Renowned for its delicious array of pastel-colored parcels and shrimp-stuffed har gau, the restaurant also serves other standout dishes such as Dover sole dumplings and crab meat noodles. Guests should not miss out on their signature Peking duck with its dark, blistered crackling skin, and the nai wong bao, a must-try steamed custard bun."

"Insta Review: 07 Sept 2023 📍China Tang at the Dorchester - London 🇬🇧 Type: 🇨🇳 Michelin: na Price: 💷💷💷 (120-150£) Rating: 6,5/10 🔅🔅🔅🔅 4/5 High Quality -Peking Duck 🦆 -Sweet and sour pork -Black Bean scallop -Egg Custard bun (Dessert) 🔅🔅🔅 3/5 Good -Venison Puff -Sticky rice -Siu Mai -Scallop Dumpling -Pork Belly -Deep Fried King Prawns -Chocolate dumpling (Dessert) 🔅🔅 2/5 Averaged -Jellyfish -Crab noodles 🗓️ Visit: Nov 2022 It seems a bit banal to give presentations to one of the most historic luxury hotel in London as the Dorchester…but maybe what you don’t know yet is that on the ground floor you can find the only western location of a quite famous Chinese restaurant chain called China Tang. Such as in their other 2 restaurants in Beijing and Hong Kong, also here in London they keep unchanged their style that i like to define as: pragmatic. From location to service…from food quality to recipes…nothing will disappoint you, such as you won’t find anything to fell in love with. Simple recipes, respect of tradition and authentic flavors will characterize your dinner in a more than decent typical Chinese location. Simply use the hierarchy above to order some dishes that stand out a bit more than others in my opinion. So, don't be fooled by Dorchester reputation, location and food are ok for any kind of event. China Tang is not a must visit…however, you won’t regret the choice if you are a quite exigent Chinese foodie looking for an easy night out."

"Mayfair restaurant, China Tang at The Dorchester, is widely heralded as home to some of the finest authentic Cantonese food outside China. Located within the iconic Dorchester hotel, the Chinese restaurant has built its steadfast reputation on serving a selection of deeply comforting Chinese favourites with style and flair. "All time favorite!! I absolute adore China Tang, it’s an excellent Chinese restaurant and always have an amazing meal. Attentive service, the food is delightful as is the restaurant’s ambiance. You must order the the dumplings, the Peking duck (a personal favorite), the chicken lettuce wrap and the prawn toast (just some of the incredible choices available from the menu). It is a high end restaurant, which means high end prices but it is not an over priced restaurant and I think the value and quality for money is right. "
