"Auberge Resorts Collection is a high-end luxury hotel group focused on distinctive destination resorts: wine country, mountain lodges, beach resorts, spa retreats, and design-forward boutique hotels. It is less “big brand standardized luxury” and more each property has its own personality. Auberge describes its portfolio as spanning destinations across North America, Mexico, and Europe. Why Auberge is worth knowing Auberge is usually strongest when you want: * Luxury resort setting * Great food and beverage * Spa / wellness * Scenic location * More intimate feel than a mega-resort * A strong sense of place It competes more with Rosewood, Montage, Four Seasons resorts, Belmond, Six Senses, and Aman-lite luxury than with standard Marriott/Hyatt/Hilton properties. Auberge properties I’d put high on your list Auberge du Soleil — Napa Valley, California Classic adults-oriented wine-country luxury. Great for couples, food, views, and a refined long weekend. Hotel Jerome — Aspen, Colorado Historic luxury in downtown Aspen. Best for polished mountain-town energy, dining, shopping, and winter/summer Aspen access. Madeline Hotel & Residences — Telluride, Colorado Strong pick for a mountain resort stay with a scenic, upscale base in Mountain Village. Goldener Hirsch — Deer Valley, Utah Boutique alpine luxury with easy Park City / Deer Valley access. Better for ski/mountain charm than big-resort flash. Bishop’s Lodge — Santa Fe, New Mexico One of the best fits for you: luxury, spa, Southwest scenery, history, and a relaxed resort feel. Auberge lists Bishop’s Lodge as its Santa Fe property. Mauna Lani — Big Island, Hawaii Excellent Hawaii resort choice if you want beach, pools, spa, golf, and a calmer luxury vibe than Maui/Wailea. Forbes’ Auberge collection page includes Mauna Lani among its Auberge-listed destinations. Chileno Bay — Los Cabos, Mexico A major luxury Cabo beach resort, usually more polished and upscale than the average Cabo property. Good for couples or higher-end family trips. Susurros del Corazón — Punta de Mita, Mexico More relaxed Pacific surf/beach luxury. Auberge describes it as a beach retreat in Punta de Mita between jungle cliffs and the Pacific. Etéreo — Riviera Maya, Mexico Design-forward beach/spa resort near Mayakoba/Riviera Maya. Better if you want Mexico luxury with a more modern, wellness-oriented feel. Mayflower Inn & Spa — Connecticut Classic New England wellness/spa retreat. Vogue describes it as a wellness retreat in Litchfield County with a spa partnership with The Well. My take for you For your travel style, I’d rank the best-fit Auberge properties this way: 1. Bishop’s Lodge, Santa Fe — easiest “yes” from Colorado; luxury Southwest resort, spa, scenery, food, culture. 2. Auberge du Soleil, Napa — best couples/wine-country luxury. 3. Mauna Lani, Hawaii — best Hawaii Auberge option. 4. Madeline Telluride — great Colorado mountain luxury. 5. Chileno Bay, Cabo — best Mexico beach luxury if budget allows. 6. Goldener Hirsch, Deer Valley — cozy ski/mountain boutique stay. Bottom line: Auberge is a very strong collection if you want luxury resorts with character rather than a generic five-star hotel. For a first Auberge stay, I’d probably choose Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge du Soleil, or Mauna Lani, depending on whether you want Southwest, wine country, or Hawaii."

"Went during Covid so there was a combined menu with the bar. Same trip as French laundry so maybe that’s why it fell short for me. Low 4 - good but not spectacular. "
