"Ooo: After the success of their Parisian-style fine-dining spot Misera in Antwerp, Yasmin Weyn and Nicolas Misera just opened something new just down the street. Bar Misera is their casual, off-duty version of a restaurant – no reservations, no fuss, just vibrant food and great wine. The wine list, put together by Belgian sommelier Trésor Vets, is extensive, featuring over 350 bottles that blend Misera’s affinity for classic European producers with Vets’s passion for South African wines. Weyn, a flea-market devotee, has filled the space with character: half-curtains, 19th-century worktables, and a playlist of French chansons. The menu leans soulful and comforting: grilled bone-in fish, veal-head croquettes, spring lamb stew. And if you linger late, that’s fine, too. The kitchen stays open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The vibe? Warm, buzzy, and international. Tightly packed tables, elegant touches of marble, vintage pinks, and oak wood. Guests here range from couples and food lovers to groups of friends, no one’s out of place."

"Monocle: Following the success of their Parisian-style fine-dining restaurant Misera, Yasmin Weyn and Nicolas Misera decided to open another space just a few metres away. Named Bar Misera, the duo’s second venture is a more casual offering. “We missed a place that we’d actually want to drop by on a day off,” says Misera. “No reservations, no rules – just vibrant food and exceptional wine.” The wine list, curated by ever-enthusiastic Belgian sommelier Trésor Vets, features more than 350 bottles, pairing Misera’s love for classic European bottles with Vets’s fondness for South African vintages. Weyn, a flea-market aficionado, has poured her heart into the space. Think soft half-curtains and 19th-century worktables set to the tune of French chansons in the background. The menu, conceived by Misera, features soulful dishes such as grilled bone-in fish, veal-head croquettes and spring lamb stew. Not hungry yet? No need to hurry – the kitchen stays open until 23.00 on Fridays and Saturdays."
