"9.2/10: First resort Lex and I stayed at in Bali for Rushil & Britny’s wedding. Rushil, Brit, Sticky, Becky, Goldberg and Myles all stayed there also. The jungle pool and spa were awesome. Lex and I got a massage. Breakfasts were delicious (amazing pastries). The one dinner we had was a little weird (frog show). But overall experience was great."

"Travel Tip Tuesday! ✈️ ▫️ ▫️ Bargaining when traveling is a must! ⚡️ We have never paid full price for any ride, item or excursion. Laurence is strong in this area, one time- she negotiated an Uber ride for almost half the listed price. 😂 There is a reason why our name is Broke and Bougie Travelers 🤷🏽♀️ ▫️ ▫️ Now don’t get us wrong, we love to explore on our own, but it’s always fun to learn from a local guide. If you find yourself a good one, you get to learn so much about the history and customs. ▫️ ▫️ Our tip to you is to negotiate and do your research. Most of the time, guides are going to quote you a super high cost, we don’t blame them, they get away with it all the time. Here are a few things that may help you! 🗣 1. Do your research, find the average monthly income in the country you are visiting, and get an idea of what might be “too much” ▫️ ▫️ 2. Be respectful-In some cultures, like the Arabs, it's an ancestral tradition. No purchases happen without bargaining, it's considered an essential part the transaction. So remember, the most important part is to be kind and negotiate with a deep respect for the seller. ▫️ 3. Learn some of the local language, words like “ how much” or “ that’s very expensive”, will come in handy! ▫️ 4. Never show your money until you agree on a price. Keep your daily budget in one pocket and the rest in another, you can’t expect someone to give you a good deal if you are pulling out $100 bills. ▫️ ▫️ 5. Depending on where you travel, taxis, tuk-tuks, or motorbikes might travel on a fixed meter. Some places have set prices for specific destinations. Make sure to ask if you can travel on the meter. If the driver says no, start the negotiation. ▫️ ▫️ 6. Shop around and get a feel for others sellers, don’t be afraid to ask for something extra! ▫️ ▫️ We have met some of those most amazing guides, who are now friends, while traveling, have fun with it!
