"The past two decades have been an exciting time for Sweden's fastest-growing metropolis. All of this makes Malmö a great destination to visit. Respect for the city's rich built heritage goes hand in hand with socially progressive and sustainable planning, making exploration of the city centre and surrounding neighbourhoods highly reward-ing. So too is immersion in the local cultural and food scenes, among the most impressive in Sweden, which reflect the fact that the local population is drawn from 179 different nationalities. Choosing accommodation: the harbour district is a good choice in summer due to its proximity to the beach and its many outdoor eateries, but it is less attractive in the colder months, when many businesses are closed and the winds can be bone-chilling."
