"Parkhotel Mondschein is a heritage-listed design hotel in the historic center of Bolzano (Bozen), the South Tyrolean capital at the mouth of the Dolomites, set in its own pocket of parkland yet a 10-minute walk from the train station. Parts of the building date to the 1330s and were married to Belle Époque additions in 1890, and a recent renovation by Merano studio Biquadra preserved the original stucco, high ceilings, herringbone parquet, and ornate carpentry while layering in "cinematic Italian" interiors, regional artworks, oak floors, and walnut furniture across its 82 rooms and suites. It's known as a cultural and wellness hub, hosting talks, gigs, and film screenings, with the Arise yoga studio set inside the ancient walls plus a pool, sauna, and gym. Its dining anchor is Luna Restaurant, housed in what's billed as Bolzano's oldest inn dating to 1320, where chef Mathieu Domagala cooks Italian and Mediterranean dishes drawing on the hotel's own gardens."

"I am astonished by the perfection and every little detail. The crowd was attractive, relaxed, nice, mixed but mostly young! The pool was beautiful and refreshing even on a very warm afternoon. The prices are just perfect. The house itself and everything in it was amazing, shower was good, the gym/yoga is superb, every corner is fun to look at! I have a Monocle next to my house so it felt like a piece of home. The dj was spinning records until 21:30 on the Friday evening and he set the mood just perfectly. I am extremely happy to have found this place! A little tranquil heaven. And then you simply go out and around the corner you are already somehow in the buzzing old town! "
