"Easy Street Records is an absolute must for grunge fans – I can not stress it enough! The relatively small record store in West Seattle has been around since 1988 and celebrates the city’s music history with a big, BIG passion. They do not only sell both well-known and rarer CDs and vinyls, the walls are also framed with creative artworks and photos of rock stars, and the store even named their café foods and beverages jokingly after bands, songs, and musicians. Pearl Jam has a special place in the heart of Easy Street Records and even has a whole corner department dedicated to them. In 2005 they played an intimate concert in the café, and the concert was recorded as a bootleg, which is the record store’s best selling item ever. Outside the building, Easy Street Records also celebrates grunge with murals of stunning and impressive graffiti of Chris Cornell and a new version of The Mother Love Bone Wall – the latter painted by none other than Jeff Ament!"

"On a corner of West Seattle’s lively California Avenue is Easy Street Records and Cafe. Opened in the late 80s, today it continues serving passionate music fans with 45s, LPs, cassettes, and CDs. Genres cover the full spectrum, from country and grunge to jazz and prog-rock. They’ll also buy your old collections, including any 8-tracks you might still have. Complementing the experience is a café with a menu of music-themed dishes such as the Dolly Parton pancake and James Browns (hash browns). The store’s cult status was elevated in 1995 when Eddie Vedder worked a shift and played Sonic Youth’s Washing Machine on repeat."

"On trouve de tout chez ce disquaire, des vinyles, des CD de country, mais surtout de la musique rock. Ce qui rend cet endroit agréable, c'est qu'on peut choisir et écouter sa musique, en buvant une bière ou en dégustant un délicieux café. Ambiance très conviviale."
