"2/2025 - went for rosenbluth’s bday. Excellent food in a food court environment. The ceviche’s are big and should be shared. Excellent mixto ceviche, mixto cocktail, branzino. Next time get octopus taco. I thought the tacos on home made tortillas better than tostadas. Smoked kampachi and grouper tacos were good but i liked other things better. Watch out for too much of same flavor - like all ceviches are same flavor just different fish. Would like to try scallop tacos next time. "

"Un stand de restauration étoilé au guide Michelin, sans chichis, situé dans le sud de Los Angeles, qui propose l'une des meilleures expériences de fruits de mer mexicains de Los Angeles, et le tout à un prix assez raisonnable. Un nouveau menu dégustation à 120 $ proposé les jeudis et vendredis soirs est un voyage culinaire unique"

"We can’t think of a better definition of “me time” than eating seafood all by yourself. Holbox, a counter-service Mexican spot in South LA’s Mercado La Paloma, is our favorite place to do just that. Pull up a stool at their raw bar and order some of their Yucatan-style fish tacos, scallop aguachile, or the kanpachi and uni tostada with sea bass ceviche, chopped lime, onions, and uni all but hanging off a freshly fried tostada."

"Nytimes Bay scallops and chocolate clams from Baja. Line-caught tuna from around the Channel Islands. Spot prawns from Santa Barbara. Gilberto Cetina runs a mariscos stand inside Mercado La Paloma that seems fairly unbuttoned, but don’t be fooled: He’s serving some of the highest quality and most beautifully prepared seafood in Los Angeles. Order these not just in sunny ceviches, cocteles and tostadas, but also grilled, fried, roasted and stewed with stacks of hot tortillas on the side — Fátimah Juárez nixtamalizes and mills the corn in-house. Once you understand the draw of Mr. Cetina’s counter, you’ll want to reserve a seat for the eight-course tasting menu he serves two nights a week."

"Bib Gourmand 2024 #5 Best Restaurant by LA Time in 2023 Named for a tropical island off the Yucatán Peninsula, this cheery walk-up stall shines bright with seafood, whether that's a whole grilled branzino, an exemplary Baja-style fried rockfish taco or an electrically spiced scallop aguachile. Run by the second generation of the Cetina family, it skews a bit younger than sibling Chichen Itza, with a sleek look, an open kitchen and a slightly higher (though still gentle) price point. Though it anchors the Mercado La Paloma, a market hall focused on affordability for first-time business owners, this stall does have a few splurges up its sleeve. The one worth splashing on is the addictive ceviche of spanking-fresh wild sheepshead fish, Santa Barbara sea urchin and pico de gallo on a crisp tostada."

"Ceviche de kanpachi, wood grilled fish taco/ Baja fish taco, pulpo asado. Located inside Mercado La Paloma, this family-run seafood counter serves fresh, inventive dishes that'll have you questioning all the other seafood you've ever eaten, like ever. The menu changes often, but you’ll usually find things like smoked kanpachi tostadas with arbol-peanut soy sauce, tender grilled octopus on almond pipían, scallops tacos, and raw oysters by the dozen. Lunch service is casual and a la carte, but we also highly recommend booking a seat for the $120 tasting menu they offer at dinner."
