"Butcher shop in the day time. Restaurant at night"

"A mysterious dining spot that looks almost exactly like a butcher’s… because it is one. Only in the evenings, the large marble table at its centre gets wiped down, dolled up, and the place becomes a secret restaurant serving excellent seasonal grub."

"Master butcher-turned lockdown provisioner par excellence, Broadway Market’s Hill & Szrok doubles as a restaurant and wine bar, which features just one stool-high sharing table (it doubles as the butcher’s counter during the day.) When open in the evenings by candlelight, the kitchen is preparing simple, seasonal mains from prime ingredients and large joints of meat to share — 1kg of cote de boeuf for £100, for example — alongside clever sides such as confit potatoes and onions cooked in stock."

"Get yasen in here ASAP meat lovers. A high end butchers by day, a perfectly grilled meat slinger by night. Quirky set-up, eating round the butchers block. Need to be comfortable eating in close quarters with strangers in a loud setting- was right up my street. Doing dry Jan so no red wine :( boo you whore. Between four, food was 30 each. We were stuffed full of lamb chops, pork spare chop, anchovies, beef fat butter, rillets and steak. Fuck actually. Reminiscing is making my moth water. get your reservations in."

"Master butcher-turned lockdown provisioner par excellence, Hackney’s Hill & Szrok has taken to serving takeaway lunches that are just that little bit special, and outlast their necessity. They currently include the likes of cheeseburgers, meatball subs, pigs head hotdogs, pie and mash, and choc chip cookies. Meaty stuff."

"Simply the best butcher in London. Expensive because you pay for top quality and they are sourcing small providers, hence the repercussion on the prices. Lamp chop, sirloin steak, pepper pork sausage for a bbq are perfect. They are also a restaurant by the night."
