"First supper in Tarragona and what a treat. A small bar/rezzy full of locals down an unassuming side street in the old town. We had a beer outside on the cobbled street around 9pm. Once the weather had cooled we moved inside to enjoy some tapas. A giant croquette each of Morcilla de Burgos (black pudding) set the tone in a gorgeously rich, iron-y way. Following on, we found how I make my millions- Ortigas de Mar (Mediterranean snakelocks sea anemone, catchy). They taste identical to oysters once fried and they would go down a storm in Hackney for our veggie friends. Currently researching whether they're vegan.... apparently there is debate which is funny. Finally a portion of Galician Octopus which always fucking slaps. Three dishes, three beers and a gorgeous bottle of local white wine all for €50. Think I like it here."
