"The hotel is totally stunning, we stayed in a Fledglings cottage whose decor was gorgeous and had all the amenities we could want! Lunch at the plumicorn was great, a great range of options and everything was delicious. The hotel offered to drive us where we needed to go in their Land Rover, which was a lovely gesture, however this was never on time and we nearly missed the train home as they didn’t seem considerate of our time pressures. I think best not to offer this service if unable to meet the demand! Otherwise a beautiful stay ⛲️"

Instead of one hotel building, it’s a 70-acre estate with rooms and facilities dotted throughout the landscape, overlooking woodlands and lakes. The heart of the Tawny is the Plumicorn, near reception and an outdoor heated swimming pool, where guests will find a restaurant and a bar. Bedrooms come in the form of huts, treehouses, boathouses and lookouts. They all have outdoor spa baths and peaceful private settings."
