"Foreigners entrance fee: 600 Bus from Aurangabad train station around 7.30am which took me to the stop where the bus to Ellora departs, I entered the complex around 9am after breakfast. Cave 16 is hands down the best, the walk up to Cave 1 is nice, there is a nice view of the Caves towards the end. Walked back to the 16th, here there is a point with drinking water, better to fill the water bottle whenever you can, the heat is dry and suffocating and you have to drink constantly. Golf Cart for 30INR up to the Caves with numbers 30*, you need to keep the receipt because they also check it on the return. Cave 32 is beautiful, in my opinion more than Cave 30 which didn't tell me much. You go by cart to Cave 29 which is worth seeing even if there is a very strong smell of bat guano. The road towards cave 28 is also very suggestive. I go back to get the cart that drops me off at Cave 21 but it's no big deal. All the other Caves that I haven't mentioned are similar to each other and not very noteworthy, skippable in my opinion. Now a quick walk towards the entrance and back to Aurangabad. At 12.30 I'm already waiting for the bus. Overall, given the hassle to get here, I don't think I would recommend it to anyone who has already seen similar places, even more so if one has seen Petra (Jordan) or Angkor Wat (Cambodia). Otherwise, if you're not in a hurry, it's a nice day trip to a less touristy area of India and Cave 16 is worth the detour."
