"4* | 60 rooms and suites, $279 to $699 NEO-GOTHIC ART HOUSE This Neo-Gothic red-bricker on the Chelsea/ Meatpacking District border was once an Episcopal Church seminary. The developers were careful to let the original features sing, restoring stained-glass windows and fireplaces and preserving the Gothic portrait-filled panelled refectory hall accessed by a marble staircase. Victorian and Edwardian antiques are among the treasures hand-sourced from eBay, along with stationary and writing supplies and vintage rotary dial telephones. The comfortable ensuite rooms and private gardens make this the perfect getaway in the heart of an arty neighbourhood."
