"Like fellow 02er the Brixton Academy, The Empire wasn’t initially put on the planet to be a live music venue: it initially served as the BBC Television Theatre before transitioning into a force of sound in 1995. The change in direction seems to have worked out okay as it’s gone on to become one of the best live music venues in London, hosting all walks of musical life from The Rolling Stones to Professor Green. Its two seated balcony levels also provide a low-key space to observe the stage from when you don’t fancy making friends with the moshers in the pit below."

"C'est un ancien théâtre aux couleurs rouge sang et doré, avec balcon et loges, qui s'est transformé en salle de concerts. L'étroitesse des lieux confère une atmosphère intimiste aux spectacles qui s'y déroulent. Vous vous sentez proche du groupe qui se produit et vous savourez chaque note et chaque expression du jeu de scène. La programmation est plutôt orientée artistes confirmés, hétéroclites, venus de tous les pays. On y a vu jouer Camille, Mika ou encore Charlotte Gainsbourg."

"Attending to shows has been hard during the two last months, however, it really is one of the only things that makes me happy. On this picture for example, I flew to London with a perfect stranger (hi Manon) to see Niall. At the end of this trip, i end up with a beautiful friend for life (hi @manonrnn) and i discovered a wonderful band (hi Picture This) and I had a great time with Niall and its crowd. It is only an example of me having fun at shows. Since this show I have attended to a lot and a lot of shows with different persons I truly loved/ still love with all my heart. If you have ever attended to a show with me (forget those 2 last months I told you it has been hard), you know how it makes me happy and how it brings the best in me. Let’s pray I will come back to this happy Léna at shows. I need it truly in my heart. Let’s pray."
