"Those already familiar with Soho House will feel instantly at home here, where a few of the company's signature design elements are in place, like distressed wood floors and beamed ceilings, velvet chairs and sofas, exposed brick, and flattering lighting. As befits a members' club, it feels intimate, though not exclusive (the hotel portion is open to anyone). Not only are the rooms charming, but the supremely comfortable common spaces are places you'll want to spend a lot of time in—especially if you need to get some work done or just sit and read. When you book a room here, you're welcomed into the world of Soho House like a member, which is a nice feeling in this big, busy city. Plus, the location is prime, within a short distance of the High Line."

"5* | 44 rooms and suites, $450 to $790 (members), $650 to $1,000 (non-members) ‘MEMBERS ONLY’, FASHIONABLE Based bang in the vibrant Meatpacking District, this six-storey outpost of the London members club still thrums day and night with media-world movers and shakers. Rooms come in small, medium and large - pick a bigger pad to land an enormous bed or walk-in rainforest shower. A dream of a hotel, it offers members manifold privileges (starting with favourable prices), but does accept reservations from non-members too. Business and pleasure mix well here within the various facilities: a heated rooftop pool, club, bar and restaurants on the sixth floor, open to members only. There's service to match the style: whether it's a hard-to-find Cuban cigar or reservations at just-opened restaurants, the concierges at Soho House are practised at pulling the right strings. Throw in a Cowshed Spa, a screening room and an impressive calendar of cultural events and it's easy to see why some guests barely leave the building at all."
