"I think we ordered half the menu and every single dish was amazing. "

"One of the best restaurants I’ve had in a long time. The carrots punch way above their weight. "

"The air smells like (good) smoked fish dip. Everything was premium. Best carrots I’ve ever had — worry about nothing on this menu — all is excellent. "

"Everyone loved this. Richard had grilled hanger steak w/ salsa Verde. Steak was small but tasted amazing especially the salsa Verde. Judith ordered the baked drum w/ coconut, greens +and sticky rice which she and Amy loved. Amy ordered the grilled Snapper off the daily specials which she loved. We ordered two sides off the specials brocoli and Brussel sprouts. Both were Asian inspired and the fried broccoli in particular was amazing. Miles really liked the potatoes side with battered chicken fingers. He liked them more than the fish sticks which he also tried. "

"Had dinner there as part of CIPR fall series with Jane Esberg. We had a bunch of starters, the catfish was great, I liked the fried oysters too. Then I had tuna which was quite good. Desert wise the pecan pie was great. Financier was ok and so was caramel pie "

"Seafood (as the name suggests) is the star of the show at Peche: this award-winning restaurant serves up only the freshest fish, prepared in a rustic, mouth-watering style. The chefs count Spain and South America as inspiration for their dishes. If you’re in a group opt for the whole grilled fish and plenty of small plates to share"

"When it opened 10 years ago, Pêche joined the American oyster-bar new wave. It also proved that a great Louisiana seafood restaurant didn’t have to traffic heavily in étouffée or beurres blanc and noisette. The clean, forthright flavors of menu mainstays like the catfish in chile broth and grilled whole Gulf fish draped in salsa verde seem to echo the minimalist aesthetic of the raw bar, whose offerings you should seriously consider. Nicole Mills, the chef de cuisine since 2019, has maintained the high standards set by the chef-owners Ryan Prewitt, Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski (see also Cochon, above). How is it that steak tartare is a can’t-miss dish at a seafood restaurant? It’s served on toast spread with oyster aioli."

"Pêche celebrates a visceral approach to eating seafood, so expect whole fish delivered to the table, ready to fbe sliced up and eaten between tables of friends. The menu is deceptively simple, but the presentation, choice of ingredients, and dressings are what elevates the experience beyond the tourist traps of the French Quarter. It’s a Donald Link restaurant, so fans of Cochon wanting to ease off on the meat are in abundance, as are people keen to go beyond the usual shrimp and fish dishes that permeate this city."
