"Excellent German food. Was very impressed with the schnitzel and Weißwurst in particular! Apple strudel was just okay. Recommend sitting in the fully enclosed porch, it was cozy warm and good people watching."

"This family-owned European restaurant and patisserie has been a charmer since 1974. In 2018, the Vail institution was taken over by the owners of neighboring German restaurant Almresi (which also opened an Aspen location in 2019). Alpenrose got a new look to go with a menu of elevated Old World classics like raclette, schnitzel, and zwiebelkuchen (onion pie), washed down with a big mug of Bavarian beer. And this season, the hottest ticket in town is for a “fondue gondola,” an all-inclusive offer including Champagne, wine pairings, and a three-course menu for up to six guests. Takeout, indoor dining, outdoor dining."
