"smaller campground, not many amenities but right on the beach. not much privacy between sites but can find some good ones D1 tent, D16 water electric, D23 D25 big group, D27 hammock spot, C27, yurts/cabins available showers seasonal"

"It’s a bummer the oceanfront campsites at Cape Lookout State Park get booked out so far in advance; the joy of getting lucky and snagging one of its walk-up sites is a beloved past-time for many who ate too much cheese at the nearby Tillamook Cheese Factory to safely drive home. Camping aside, the Cape Lookout Trail is one of the most balanced coastal hikes when it comes to effort and epic views, and it’s worth the trip even if you have to drive home afterward. Sour beer stans are required by law to swing by de Garde Brewing in downtown Tillamook for a bottle of their wild ale, which is regarded as some of the best in the world despite the out-there location and open-air fermentation that takes place just miles from an active dairy farm."

"The cape is the farthest you can walk out into the Pacific Ocean: two miles across the wooded spine of the cape to the rocks and crashing surf at its western tip. There is no other place quite like it in Oregon. The beach to the north fronts the popular Cape Lookout State Park campground."
