"Mysigt lite ställe som på dagen har bagels och glass och sen på kvällen blir det till en vinbar. Jag tog bageln med egg, cheese o bacon o den var absolut bäst! Vill gå hit igen"

"The Setting: It’s not often you’ll find a cute wine bar-deli hybrid in west London – they’re more the stuff of south or east. But recently opened Sol’s, right on the fringes of Hyde Park, fills that void nicely. A delectable selection of fine goods is available during the day – the kind of stuff you’d buy to serve at your fanciest dinner party – and its proximity to the park means that, come summer, you can grab a selection of treats to go for the chicest picnic in town. Fancy sitting in? The dark wood and tiled interiors provide a picture-perfect setting for the fine wines and Iberian-inspired food by chef Harry Farrow. Expect everything from cheese and charcuterie to larger plates, such as roast lamb neck or hake. Trust us, you won’t go hungry. The Vibe: West meets east (London, that is). Go With: That friend who won’t leave West London – this is a refreshing change from most of the other bars in the area. Special Mention: The Spanish and Portuguese wine selection: its crisp whites and zesty vinho verdes consistently deliver. [service95]"

"So what do we need to know about Sol's? Following the current trend of all-day openings in London, this recent opening in Bayswater is a hybrid cafe/deli/restaurant. In the morning it's a coffee and pastry place. At lunchtimes, it switches up to salads and sarnies and in the evening, which is when we visited, it's a wine bar with Mediterranean small plates. The folk behind it are interesting too. Owner Gabriel Chipperfield is the man behind the aesthetically gorgeous coffee shop/newsagents Shreeji News and Foreign Exchange News. His partner for this project was food journalist Mina Holland. And they've been joined by chef Harry Farrow who comes here via Siding in Norfolk and La Mercerie in Marseille. Where is it? You'll find it halfway between Bayswater and Holland Park tubes, just north of Hyde Park. Opening just after The Park and before the revamped The Whiteley it's part of a renaissance for this area in terms of interesting food and drink places. Where should we sit? The centrepiece of Sol's is a long communal table - it's giving West London meets P Franco vibes. We liked sitting up at the window, as the people-watching opportunities here are particularly good. And if the weather is decent, there are a few stools outside too."
