The Grey : Restaurant américain et sudiste à Savannah

"Absolutely wow of a meal. The entire experience is outstanding and the food is so so good/ the chicken signature dish not to be missed. The decor is so wonderful! Go every time "

"Interesting history to the building (it’s an old great hound station) and our server was excellent. She really took the time to explain the story of the restaurant and spoke about the racial history of the area in a respectful way (the greyhound station had a “colored” section until a shockingly recent year). There wasn’t a particular dish that stood out to me as amazing but it was all very solid. I actually didn’t realize they had a Michelin star until later and while I’m not totally shocked, I don’t know that I would have guessed based on this experience alone. Worth a visit if you’re looking for something a little more upscale but probably not a repeat for me."

"Occupying a 1938 art deco Greyhound Bus Terminal that they painstakingly restored to its original luster, The Grey offers a food, wine and service experience that is simultaneously familiar and elevated. Bringing her personal take on Port City Southern food to a city of her youth allows The Grey to offer dishes that are deep, layered, and soulful in their flavors. With a penchant for regional produce, seafood and meats, guests will find a melting pot of surprising and comforting tastes with something new revealed in each and every visit."

"Famous, nice restaurant in Savannah. The inside has nice cozy but higher end ambiance. Great for dinner. Unique takes on dishes but still very good. "

"Reservations required. With James Beard Award-winning and newly named Outstanding Chef Mashama Bailey at the helm, the Grey continues to be in high demand by both locals and visitors alike. The Grey offers dining options that change often based on the seasonality of the Savannah region; dishes are aptly categorized under Dirt, Water, Pasture, and Pantry. If unable to obtain a reservation, the Diner Bar offers small plates to be enjoyed in the renovated retro Grey Hound Bus terminal. Side note, the Grey Market, a secondary concept of the Grey, sits around the corner ready to serve double burgers and drinks during the lunch hour if day drinking is on the menu."

"Formerly a segregated old Greyhound bus station in Savannah now is a restaurant with the new spin on Southern food traditions. Opposite the restaurant is an old charming small church."

@

"former Greyhound Bus Station turned restaurant, serves a menu full of surprising culinary creations. This highly-acclaimed restaurant offers up elegant fare in a surprising environment. Don't have time for a full meal? The Diner Bar at The Grey offers a more casual - but equally enjoyable - experience. For those on the go, stop by The Grey Market. This market combines the grab-n-go convenience of a big city bodega with the history and menu of a true Southern lunch counter. "
