"Lovely place with great food and lovely staff. Food wasn’t cheap but wasn’t bad either. Platter for 2 (we were stuffed) and a bottle of wine and was just under $100. Really good food though and had a good time even tho we sat at the bar. Nice vibe in the place too. Would be a sweet lil nicer date spot. Esp since it’s right next to a little jazz bar "

"Never had anything like it. Very good appetizers. Main course was a few meat selections. All very tasty. You eat with no utensils, instead a spongy bread thing you grab the meat with. Had an odd taste to it"

"Sambussa was delicious! Got the sampler and they were all very good. Be prepared to eat with your fingers bc there are no forks. Chicken was the best, lamb was good, potatoes are always poppin off. Wine was also delicious, Indaba Sauvignon Blanc was yummyyyy (Next day update: I have pooped 4 times. It is unclear if there is a correlation)"

"Demera Ethiopian Restaurant $$ Step into this Uptown restaurant and travel the globe, thanks to a menu and aesthetic inspired by owner Tigist Reda’s native country of Ethiopia. Opt for one of the combination platters, a customary order in Ethiopian culture and one that evokes a traditional practice (to share with others off of the same plate). The Demera Messob features three different vegetables and three meats of different preparations, while the Beyanetu serves as a tasting platter of the team’s entire vegetable medley—popular with meat and veg lovers alike. There’s a variety of wine and cocktails available, but regulars always relish the chance to order the team’s signature: Tej, traditional Ethiopian honey wine made in-house from a centuries-old family recipe."

"1/16/21 - Ordered from Dwell Social. It was tasty. I liked the vegetarian dishes more and R liked the meat. Would do it again. "
