Their chef was previously at Michelin-starred The Sportsman in Seasalter and his daily changing menu, chalked up on the blackboard, is based on hyper-local produce. Expect dishes such as pan-fried skate with brown butter and cockles or roast saddle of venison in red wine. If you spot crab risotto, order it – the stock alone takes three days to make.
